The history of this holiday has a 100-year history. It all began in the United States, where in 1909 there were events for equal rights for women. Then this holiday was called simply – Women’s Day. And already the international status of Women’s Day received at the II International Conference of Socialists, held in Copenhagen in August 1910. For the first time, exactly on March 8, International Women’s Day was celebrated in a number of countries in Europe and America in 1914.
Much later, in 1978, at the 20th General Conference of UNESCO in Paris, the date of International Women’s Day – March 8 – was fixed by resolution.
Currently, this holiday is officially celebrated in many countries around the world. And in some of them, March 8 is declared a day off. But, since women’s inequality in our country has long been ended, this holiday is celebrated as the Day of Women, Spring, Love and Kindness! This is a wonderful holiday!
Charitable Foundation “Inna” congratulates all women on International Women’s Day! We wish everyone health, peace, sunny skies, joy and goodness!
Happy March 8!
