Easter has a long history. Originally, more than 3,000 years ago, this holiday was celebrated in honor of the liberation of the Jewish people from Egyptian slavery and their exodus from Egypt. But the New Testament Easter and its meaning were changed precisely by Jesus Christ. He sacrificed himself for the entire human race, taking human sins upon himself in order to resurrect and demonstrate to people the triumph of life over death!
Jesus Christ taught: “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live. And whoever lives and believes in me will never die” (Jn 11:25-26).
