We are continuing our weekly “Drawing on Wednesdays” classes. Today, the participants of the anti-stress session were coloring pictures on the Easter theme. The participants chose the method of coloring (pencils or paints) on their own.
It is believed that working with colored pencils (paints) reduces the level of cortisol in the human body. Cortisol is a well-known stress hormone. Long-term stress, in particular. Studies confirm that chronic stress leads to an increase in the production of cortisol by the human body, which, in turn, leads to major changes in metabolism. And, as a result, to obesity. Therefore, “Wednesday painting” classes occupy an important place in our “Rehabilitation” program.
