For many years Brovary has been operating the Rehabilitation Project, which provides rehabilitation treatment for cancer patients. The project was developed by charity foundation «Inna» and operates with the support of Brovary City Administration. During this time, many patients with different oncological diagnoses were able to undergo rehabilitation – restorative treatment, so necessary for all those struggling with cancer.
Weekly in the office of the Foundation there are classes aimed at relaxation, training of mental functions of the brain, including thinking, development of motor skills of hands and so on. But it is no less important for oncological diseases to properly take physical activity. After all, exercises that call the work of different groups of muscles, can strengthen the body and spirit, raise the vitality and mood. Experts believe that the best way for such exercises – exercise on the water!
Guided by the opinion of rehabilitation specialists, the Foundation «Inna» concluded a contract for physiotherapy classes on the aqua aerobics program with Brovary Health and Rehabilitation Center. Aqua aerobics is a very useful fitness program! Typically, such activities include walking and swimming on site or with little movement, load on different muscle groups and dance elements with different sports equipment.
Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, the first group of 8 members of the Foundation this year enjoyed working in the pool for 10 days. The joy and enthusiastic state of all the Foundation’s wards at the end of the rehabilitation program means that the rehabilitation program has been chosen correctly! And already now the Foundation is preparing the second group of its wards for aqua aerobics within the framework of the project Rehabilitation.
Recall that the project Rehabilitation is implemented at the expense of funds allocated to the Foundation for the city «Program of support, assistance to cancer patients in the treatment and prevention of oncological diseases».
