Inna Charitable Foundation is preparing another unique project aimed at fighting cancer! Many years have passed from the appearance of the idea of the project to the final stage of preparation for the start of the program. The name of the project speaks for itself – “Oncoscreening.”
As you know, cancer is a terrible and potentially deadly disease! For example, since the beginning of the pandemic (November 2019) caused by the COVID-19 virus, just over 5 million people in the world have died from coronavirus infection (source). During the same period, more than 20 million people died of various types of cancer in the world. The statistics speak for themselves.
It is known that early detection of cancer significantly increases the chances of successful treatment and survival. And an important place in this process belongs to screening.
Screening (English screening – selection, sorting) – a special medical mass examination of the population (its individual contingents) to identify a particular disease, as well as the causes that contribute to the development of this disease. In oncology, it is used to detect some common types of cancer before any symptoms appear. As a rule, these are a number of simple but very important tests. The World Health Organization insists that screening is the most important way to fight cancer!
Unfortunately, there is no state-level cancer screening program in Ukraine. That’s why the Inna Foundation is launching such a project!
The goal of the project is to reduce the number of cancer patients diagnosed at a later stage of cancer.
The main task is to provide an opportunity to undergo a screening examination for the poor and most vulnerable in society.
Today, the Foundation’s staff is holding the latest talks with future partners. We choose the most dangerous and widespread type of cancer. Conditions, place of screening, types of such examination will be published after signing the relevant contract.
The Inna Charitable Foundation invites everyone who is ready to join our project as partners – philanthropists and together with us to continue the fight against the “plague of the XXI century” – cancer!
