For all progressive mankind, February 4 is a special day. Today is International Cancer Day – World Cancer Day. On this day, events are held around the world to support cancer patients around the world, to develop programs that can stop the spread of a deadly disease!

Every year, a terrible disease kills up to 12 million people worldwide. She spares no one, young or old! According to various estimates, 140,000-170,000 people are diagnosed with cancer every year in Ukraine! Alas, doctors still do not know how to beat cancer! And people continue to die painfully from various types of it.

In Brovary, thanks to the active position of the city administration, partners of the Inna Foundation, great attention is paid to the fight against cancer. Through social programs, cancer patients in Brovary are provided with free medicines. For many years, the Inna Charitable Foundation, with the support of kind people-philanthropists, the city administration, has been working to help its wards. If necessary, the Foundation pays for medicines for the treatment of its wards, conducts visual diagnostics (CT, MRI) during active treatment and after it. In addition, the Inna Foundation has been running a unique program for the rehabilitation of cancer patients for many years. And the annual International festival-competition of children and youth creativity “International charity festival Inna-Brovary”, a joint project of the Foundation and its partners, has already become a kind of hallmark of Brovary. And quite recently, a cancer screening program was launched in Brovary. This is an unprecedented action for Ukraine from the Inna Foundation!

Cancer screening is the most important way to fight cancer! On the eve of World Cancer Day 2022, the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe published new guidance to improve the effectiveness of screening programs. The introduction of screening programs is a complex process that requires significant resources, experts say. But screening for breast, cervical, and colorectal cancers, along with timely treatment, can significantly reduce cancer incidence and mortality.

On this day, World Cancer Day, the Inna Charitable Foundation once again urges the public not to stand aside – the fight against cancer is our common cause! Every year the number of new cases of cancer is growing! And as experts predict, in 20-30 years every fifth inhabitant of the Earth will get cancer. And every 8th man and every 11th woman will die from this terrible disease in just 20-30 years! Let’s think about our children! Let’s stop the “plague” of the 21st century – cancer!

The Inna Charitable Foundation thanks its partners who help in the implementation of projects, philanthropists who donate funds to the Foundation, the administration of Brovary for supporting our activities, which are not easy, but vital!
